Our Legacy

|| Jai Shri Swaminarayan ||

Managed by Shri Yoganand Seva Samaj Trust

The omnipresent Lord Shri Swaminarayan, whose incarnation was to benefit the living beings of this world and to give the happiness of being close to his devotees, incarnated in India, taught the living beings the religion, knowledge and the rules of conduct of dispassion and wandered with 500 Nanda saints, removing the ignorance, inertia, religious fanaticism, kusanga, kapar, etc. of the society and made the society happy.

Among the Nanda saints, Shri Mota Yogananda Swami was a powerful and well-read saint. In his tradition, the 6th generation was a great speaker of Ramayana, Bhagavatam and Satsangi life. He became the venerable Swamishri Jagat Prakash Dasji Swami. He performed more than 750 parayanas and stood firm even in severe calamities like heavy rain, drought, and earthquake, thus fulfilling the motto “Service to the people is service to God”.

He established Shri Santh Yoga Ashram in Dabhan and taught monks, saints, Brahmins, performed parayanas for the benefit of newly built institutions, conducted Kerala camps, served animals, served people in tsunamis, etc. Despite doing many philanthropic services, one wish remained unfulfilled. And that wish was to serve society in the medical field.

In 1977, the effort to build a hostel in the village of Shri Yogananda Seva Samaj Trust was also continued and Pujya Gurudev also left this world on 19th January 2006.

After being liberated from Gururun, the saints of the group decided to build a modern hospital in the tribal area in memory of Pujya Gurudev and do social service work.

In Madhya Pradesh, a tribal area was decided in Kukshi taluka of Dhar district and under 7 acres of land was acquired by Shri Yogananda Seva Samaj Trust, in which the construction work of a modern hospital with 75+ beds is going to start soon.

Due to the lack of a modern hospital in this area, people have to face many difficulties.

The need for medical care is there for both the rich and the poor, but the rich get treatment easily, they can get medical care even by going abroad.

But the problem comes to the middle class and poor people. One of the basic amenities of life is medical care, which is the right of everyone, but due to some bad arrangements there, those people have to struggle a lot and others take advantage of this. Taking advantage of the poverty of the poor, tribal brothers and sisters, they give free treatment to the patients and then, as a sign of their gratitude, they convert from Hinduism. I have seen this scene with my own eyes, so I felt that the resolution to build a hospital in the memory of the Guru is not needed in another city but in the tribal area where our brothers and sisters do not have to change their religion for treatment.

Keeping this in mind, the saints and trustees decided to build a hospital in this area.

With the support and cooperation of the trustees of Shri Shanta Yoga Ashram Dabhan, the Satsang community of Madhya Pradesh and all the devotees living in the country and abroad, the construction work of P.P. Shri Swami Jagat Prakashji Hospital Dahod is going to start soon. Let us also give one sacrifice each in such a noble sacrifice of social service and become a participant and attain the pleasure of God.
